What We Do
This youth-initiated organization specializes in opioid education, support, and awareness. The organization empowers young leaders to address the opioid crisis by providing targeted education and resources to vulnerable youth. Through culturally sensitive outreach, peer-led initiatives, and community collaboration, the organization works to prevent opioid misuse and build a healthier, more informed generation. Its mission is rooted in giving back to the community, fostering resilience, and promoting lasting change for youth at risk.
Our Approach
We take a collaborative approach to prevent opioid misuse through three essential pillars that prioritize racial equity and inclusivity:
- Advocacy: Amplifying youth voices to influence policy changes that address the racial disparities in opioid education and access to prevention resources. We advocate for culturally and racially sensitive legislation to better support vulnerable communities.
- Education: Developing interactive, evidence-based educational programs that reflect the diverse racial and cultural backgrounds of our communities. These programs use examples, case studies, and data that highlight the unique challenges and experiences of different racial and ethnic groups.
- Support: Creating a network of safe spaces and peer support groups that are racially inclusive and culturally competent. We provide resources and assistance tailored to the needs of racially/culturally diverse populations, ensuring no one is left behind in the fight against opioid misuse.

Founder
Mayur Bhatt founded Insightful Awareness out of a deep commitment to making education more compassionate and inclusive. Growing up, he saw how vulnerable youth and underserved communities often face unique challenges that are overlooked in traditional health education. His passion comes from wanting to bridge that gap, ensuring that conversations around opioids, race, and equity are handled with empathy and understanding. For Mayur, Insightful Awareness is not just an initiative, but a way to spark meaningful change by empowering others to see the human side of today's overlooked challenges.
